Infrastructure and Grant Administration
The Infrastructure and Grant Administration section is comprised of three branches; Grant Administration, Public Assistance and Mitigation. The Public Assistance Branch administers the State's Public Assistance Program for the eligible applicants; the Grant Administration Branch oversees the administration of multiple state and federal grants that enhance the emergency management capabilities throughout the state; and the Mitigation Branch provides assistance to local, tribal, and state partners with resources and support to develop and manage mitigation projects.
Effective grant administration involves identifying eligible recipients, developing grant applications, monitoring the use of funds, and reporting on progress and outcomes. It is essential to ensure that grant funds are used for their intended purposes and that they reach those most in need.
The Grant Administration Branch oversees the administration of several state and federal grants the Emergency Management Division receives to enhance emergency management capabilities throughout the state.
The primary objectives of the Public Assistance Branch are to; provide customer service to political subdivisions of the State.
The Mitigation Branch provides assistance to local, tribal, and state partners with resources and support to develop and manage hazard mitigation projects.
