DEMA does not agree with or endorse every comment that is posted on our pages. Likewise, follows, retweets, likes and shares are not endorsements. Our goal is to share news, events and emergency preparedness content with as many people as possible, and to have an open forum where residents can provide their input. We reserve the right to determine which comments are acceptable for our social media pages. Comments may be removed if they contain:

• Profanity or obscenity

• Racist content

• Harassment and/or cyberbullying

• Threats

• Content depicting violence or harm

• Nudity or sexual content

• Spam comments, such as posting the same content multiple times on a channel

• Comments that violate the law or the intellectual property rights of others (e.g. copyright infringement)

• Comments with the main purpose of selling a product or service

* Hate speech is defined as offensive terms that target a person or group based on race, color, sex, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, religion, or disability.

Comments made on our social media accounts will also be subject to the policies of the specific site on which they are posted. Some social media sites moderate their comments without our knowledge.
