    BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Bob L. Stump National Guard/Reserve Center is officially the new name of the Arizona armory formerly known as Buckeye Armed Forces Readiness Center. Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael T. McGuire, the Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard, presided over the ceremony, Nov. 16, to honor the former Arizona Congressman.

EMAC provides an effective, scalable, and efficient approach to responding to incidents nationwide. Established in 1996, EMAC is a fast way to provide state-to-state assistance (resources and personnel) during declared emergencies. The system is driven by the state that is requesting the resources.

    Arizona initiates nationwide alerting system test

    BEEP, BEEP, BEEP . . . .this is a national test.

    Broadcasters from radio, television and cable stations nationwide participated in a test of the Emergency Alert System on Sept. 27, 2017.  Arizona hosted the national test, this was the third time the test was conducted simultaneously across the nation, and the first time the test was initiated outside of Washington, D.C.
