The Department of Emergency and Military Affairs offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and their eligible family members. Eligible employees may enroll at any time within the first 31 days of their hire date. Benefits become effective on the first day of the subsequent pay period after completing the benefits elections enrollment.

Internship Program

The DEMA Internship Program offers unpaid internships to current college students. The program has been developed to help students gain practical training and hands-on real world experience to satisfy educational goals while preparing for a professional career. The goal of the DEMA Intern Program is to:

  • Develop the next workforce generation

  • Create goodwill among universities and colleges

  • Offer meaningful assignments accompanied by adequate supervision

  • Integrate interns into the organizational culture
