Available Federal Aid to Support Arizona’s COVID-19 Response

 

Arizona’s Presidential Major Disaster Declaration can help qualified groups to recoup approved costs related to COVID-19 response. This declaration frees up funding at the federal level to support the integral response work being done by eligible applicants at the local level.

 

Not sure what is eligible? Contact the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA)Infrastructure branch  to start the conversation. Virtual applicant briefings are currently scheduled from 9 am to 11 am on April 15, 22, and 29. Email [email protected] for more information.

 

Who may be eligible?

  • Local governments, states, tribes, territories and certain private nonprofit organizations may be eligible.

 

What types of costs may be eligible?

  • Purchase and distribution of food, water, ice, medicine, and other consumable supplies, to include personal protective equipment and hazardous material suits movement of supplies and persons;
  • Security and law enforcement;
  • Communications of general health and safety information to the public.
