FLORENCE, Ariz. – Super Bowl XLIX, deemed a success by state officials and the NFL, brought added benefits to Arizona by providing the state’s Army National Guard with training used to prepare them to support civil authorities in the event of a major emergency.

FLORENCE, Arizona - When focusing on basic warrior tasks during annual training, the seemingly endless “death-by-PowerPoint” classes and simulated exercises can be mundane and drawn-out. The Soldiers from the 253rd Engineer Battalion, Arizona Army National Guard, decided to switch it up during this year’s annual training and hold a motivating competition.

All Weapons Weekend

FLORENCE, Ariz. - More than 170 service members from six states participated in the Marksmanship Area Counsel VII Regional and All Weapons Weekend, here at the Florence Military Reservation, March 21-23. In its 13th year running, the competition brings sharpshooters together to compete and enjoy a weekend of military marksmanship and camaraderie.
